The RED Komodo 6k brings together RED’s existing image quality and colour science into a tiny package.
Measuring just over 10cm x 10cm the Komodo 19.9MP Super35 CMOS sensor boasts Global Shutter technology. This sensor is capable of creating images with 16+ stops dynamic range and the global shutter eliminates rolling shutter artefacts.
The native mount on the Komodo is Canon RF but can be adapted with a range of mount adapters allowing Canon EF & PL lenses to be used.
With the ability to record up to 40fps at 6K and even higher speeds at 2K – the Komodo provides users with a flexible, compact camera platform that is ideal for setups where bigger cameras would not be practical.
Recording to CFast 2.0 cards the RED Komodo can shoot 16-bit REDCODE RAW format or native Apple ProRes 422 HQ and standard 422 with DCI 4K up to 60 fps or DCI 2K up to 120 fps.
The supplied Wooden Camera Pro V-Mount setup allows use of 15mm lightweight rods and supplies the RED Komodo with a longer lasting V-Lock battery power solution that can also power any accessories needed.
