LEITZ M 0.8

The Leitz M 0.8 are a new evolution of the Leitz M full frame lenses that have been used for over 60 years in the stills industry.

Leitz Cine Wetzlar (formally CW Sonderoptic) has selected 7 lenses from the M series and have developed mounts in co-operation with leading digital film camera companies. With mounts available for the RED Monstro Vista Vision, RED S35 Weapon, RED S35 Gemini, Sony Venice and Alexa Mini* the Leica M 0.8 series interpret light and skin tones with a unique sense of clarity, color and charisma.

The lenses in this series include: 21mm f/1.4, 24mm f/1.4, 28mm f/1.4, 35mm f/1.4, 50mm f/0.95 Noctilux, 75mm f/2 & 90mm f/2 – all of which have full frame coverage (24mm x 36mm).

All of the lenses in this set weigh below 1kg making them ideal for extreme light weight setups and gimbal mounting. Further to this the front cowling of each lens can accommodate a 77mm screw in filter reducing the reliance of a bulky clamp on mattebox.

All of the lenses have been factory fitted with a 0.8 pitch focus ring and have a uniform 80mm front cowling allowing full integration with cine standard equipment.

Please note that if hiring the Leitz M 0.8 lens set we strongly advise allowing extra time during gear check for our staff to fit the appropriate mount to your camera.

*Alexa Mini requires modification by an ARRI service centre. We can provide a modified Alexa Mini if required at additional cost. Upon booking, please let our team know what camera you are planning on using the Leitz M0.8 lenses on.
