The ARRI Ensō Primes lenses have a been developed to compliment ARRI’s Alexa LF & Alexa 35 range of cameras using the new LPL mount system.
With a consistent T2.1 across the majority of the set, the ARRI Ensō Primes focus much closer than most other prime lenses with a close focus ratio of 1:4 across the majority of the range. This means you can fill the frame with a subject or object that’s 4 times the diagonal of a Large Format sensor without the need to use diopters.
This allows for beautiful close-up work, for example on product or food shoots, and the minimised breathing means focus racks have no discernible impact on framing. Stunning bokeh and fall-off round out the lenses’ emotive focus characteristics.
The ARRI Ensō Prime lenses come installed with a detachable ARRI Magnetic Rear Filter Holder and the set has an option to be booked with the Vintage Element Kit (EVE) kit. The EVE kit consists of a set of rear diopters with plus and minus strengths, but they are not used to focus closer like traditional diopters. Instead the EVE kit are additional elements that detune the lens and affect the bokeh, producing different creative looks.
All lenses feature ARRI LDS-2 and Cooke/i electronic lens communication that provides metadata to your compatible camera. that opens up all kinds of customised looks, without having to disassemble the lens.
